Franklin County Commissioner, Brad Peck, Resigning After 15 Years

After 15 years, Franklin County Commissioner Brad Peck, announced he will be resigning, effective midnight, January 1, 2024. Commissioner Peck has been a long-serving member of WSAC as a Co-Chair for the Legislative Steering Committee (LSC) and as a member of the County Road Administration Board (CRAB).

“Commissioner Peck has provided so many meaningful contributions to the Association, our members, and of course to county government,” said Eric Johnson, WSAC Executive Director. Johnson went on to note that “Commissioner Peck has served on the WSAC Board of Directors, Co-Chair of our Legislative Steering Committee, and been active in a number of other statewide roles during his tenure as a Franklin County Commissioner. I have appreciated his insights and thoughtful, deliberative engagement with the Association and his colleagues.”

Jane Wall, Executive Director (CRAB) stated, "The County Road Administration Board is immensely grateful to Commissioner Peck for his years of service to our board and to the county road system across the state. His commitment to improving the safety and quality of our communities is a testament to his character and leadership. He will be missed and we wish him the best in his future endeavors.”

The Republican Party Precinct in Franklin County will need to select three candidates who reside in District 1 for the Franklin County Commissioners to choose from. If the Commissioners cannot make a selection within 90 days, the decision will be made by the Governor, and the selected candidate will be required to run in the 2024 election.
