Membership Update |
During the 2024 Membership Meeting of the Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC), Lincoln County Commissioner Rob Coffman was sworn in as the new Association President. Commissioner Coffman has been a part of the WSAC Executive Team, serving as both the 2nd and 1st Vice President for the past two years, and has represented counties on a number of statewide boards, including the County Road Administration Board.
This year’s County Leaders Conference in Clark County had over 400 individuals gather to learn, network, and share how to better serve counties around Washington State. Topics included leading through change, economic forecasts, building partnerships, building Washington's county roads, homelessness, IT, and so much more! This year’s conference was themed, Finding a Path Forward, as we work to build social and political bridges to better our state. Commissioner Coffman was first elected as a county commissioner in 2010 and will represent the Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC) as the organization's 118th President.

Created in 1906, the Washington State Association of Counties (WSAC) is a voluntary, non-profit association serving Washington’s 39 counties. WSAC members include elected county commissioners, council members, and executives.
WSAC provides various services to its member counties, including advocacy, training, workshops, and a forum to network and share best practices. WSAC also serves as an umbrella for affiliate organizations representing county road engineers, local public health officials, county administrators, county planners, emergency managers, county human service administrators, solid waste managers, clerks of county boards, and others.
