Come Join Us for WSALPHO's First Fall Committee Convening - Block 2.

The block 2 convening will take place at The Heathman Lodge in Vancouver, WA, on September 23-25, 2026.

The following committee's will hold three separate meetings during the entirety of the event block 2.

• Environmental Public Health Committee (EPHC)
• Communicable Disease Leadership Committee (CDLC)
• Health Officers Committee (HOC)
• Assessment Committee

Please Note: There are no general member meetings or general session occuring during this event. The event is soley to provide a space for WSALPHO committee members to hold in-person committee meetings. 

Who Should Attend The Fall Committee Convening - Block 2?

This event is best suited for members who are involved with one of the following WSALPHO committees: Environmental Public Health Committee (EPHC), Communicable Disease Leadership Committee (CDLC), Health Officers Committee (HOC), and Assessment Committee. Partner/non-WSALPHO member participation is based on invitiation from a WSALPHO committee.

Event Cost   

For WSALPHO members, the following costs are covered:

*Note: An example of a WSALPHO member is a staff member employed by a Local Health Jurisdiction (LHJ).

• Registration fees.
• Hotel room & tax through the room block. Hotel rooms are available on the nights of Wednesday, September 23 and Thursday, September 24. WSALPHO will cover hotel rooms through direct billing between wsalpho and the hotel. Please Note: Hotel rooms are first come, first serve. Guest can be charged for the full cost of their hotel room if they book a hotel room but are not registered for the event, hotel rooms are intended for event attendees.
• Provided Meals: Lunch on Wednesday, breakfast and lunch on Thursday, and breakfast on Friday. 

WSALPHO Members are responsible for the following expenses:

• Hotel rooms booked outside of the WSALPHO room block.
• Travel expenses (ex. mileage, additional meals, etc).
• Hotel fees associated with late cancellations, early departures, additional occupancy, pet fees, incidentials, etc.

Partners are responsible for the following expenses:

• An example of a partner/non-member is Department of Health (DOH), State Board of Health (SBOH), etc.
• Partners/non-members are responsible for covering the full cost of their hotel rooms.
• Hotel fees associated with late cancellations, early departures, additional occupancy, pet fees, incidentials, etc
• Travel expenses (ex. mileage, additional meals, etc).

Hotel Reservation Procedure

• Attendee's are responsibe for reading the reservation precedure and booking their hotel rooms accordingly. 
• Hotel rooms must be booked under the wsalpho room block. Hotel rooms are first come first serve.
• Hotels rooms cannot be booked through the website, you can book using the number listed under step #2 below.
• To book a hotel room through the wsalpho room block call one of the number listed below.
  1. Make sure to reference WSALPHO or Washington State Association of Local Public Health Officials when booking a room. 
  2. (360) 254-3100 direct reservation booking line at Heathman Lodge. The department is open 24/7 daily. 
  3. Hotel rooms are available on the nights of Wednesday September 23 and Thursday September 24. 
  4. The hotel requires each attendee to place a credit card on file to hold a room.
• Please Note: Guest can be charged for the full cost of their hotel room if they book a hotel room on the room block but are not registered for the event, hotel rooms are intended for event attendees.

Parking

• Parking is complimentary for guests of the Heathman Lodge.

The Heathman Lodge Cancellation Policy 

• If guests find it necessary to change their plans, you must inform the hotel directly within 24 hours prior to the 4:00 pm check-in time to avoid a cancellation charge. 
• Early Departures: An early departure fee of $50 applies to guests checking out prior to their departure date. Guest will be asked to confirm their departure date upon check-in. Guests may be able to change their departure date without charge at the time of check-in or within 24 hours of actual departure. 
• No-shows: Attendees will be billed directly by The Heathman Lodge Hotel for a no show fee. Late arrivals (after 1:00 AM PST the day after check-in) are considered no-shows according to hotel policy. 

Accessibility Information

• The Heathman Lodge has accessible feature including accessible entry to the main entance, elevators to all floors, guest room options as well as bathroom stalls. Unfortunately, the side entrances of the hotel are not accessible and requires a room key. In addition the public bathroom entrance doors are not accessbile. Although they have push doors there are no accessible buttons (push to open). 
• Languages available are Spanish and Russian.
