EVENT DESCRIPTION

Join us lakeside in beautiful Chelan, WA, September 23–25 for WSALPHO’s second Learning Symposium of 2025. The symposium will focus on inclusive approaches to public health practices.   

The symposium will feature sessions highlighting work underway at LHJs across Washington, including initiatives focused on disability justice, centering community voices in local public health efforts, and data practices that support the needs of all communities. If you have questions about the topics covered at the learning symposium, please get in touch with Tracey Thomas at tthomas@wsac.org.    

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This event is designed for LHJ leaders and staff working to make their agency’s policies, practices, and procedures more inclusive and responsive to community needs. 

EVENT COST 

• WSALPHO will cover, registration, lodging (if booked using the custom link), and meals provided during the event. 
• Attendees are responsible for, travel expenses, addtional meals, etc. 

HOTEL RESERVATIONS (Room block closes at 4:30 pm on 08/22/25)

• WSALPHO will cover hotel room and tax costs for attendees through our room block at the Campbell's Resort, available for the nights of 9/22, 9/23, and 9/24.
• To book your room, you must call the hotel and provide the group block code: Call 509-682-2561 or 800-553-8225, use group block code 813407. This is the only way to ensure your reservation is part of the WSALPHO room block.

Important:

• A credit card is required to reserve your room. While WSALPHO covers the room rate and tax through the group block, we do not control the hotel’s policies regarding incidental deposits, late cancellation fees, or no-show charges. Attendees are responsible for any such charges. Please note: The room cost will appear in your confirmation email due to the hotel’s automated system. Your credit card will not be charged at this time. It will only be charged if you incur fees for late cancellation, no-show, or incidental expenses, as determined by the hotel’s policy.

HOTEL CANCELLATION POLICY

• Cancellations made less than 7-days before arrival will result in a fee equal to one night’s stay plus tax.
• No-shows will be charged a fee of at least one night’s stay.
• Per hotel policy, arrivals after 1:00 AM PST on the day after check-in will be considered no-shows.
• Attendees are fully responsible for any fees due to late cancellations or no-shows.

PARKING 

Complimentary parking is available for overnight guests on the property.

AGENDA

• The agenda will be emailed to registered attendees 30 days before the event, unless we communicate a different timeline.
• The training will begin at 12:00 PM on Tuesday, run all day Wednesday, and conclude at 12:00 PM on Thursday, with planned meals including lunch on Tuesday, breakfast and lunch on Wednesday, and breakfast on Thursday.
